Chicago
Connecting curiosity with culture, place, and learning

Welcome to
Where every question sparks a journey, every neighborhood tells a story, and every adventure becomes a chance to move, play, and learn.
Curious Kids
Curious Kids Chicago is a vibrant learning hub for families and educators who believe the city itself is our classroom — full of stories, flavors, art, and history waiting to be explored.
Each month, we dive into a new theme that blends books, crafts, field trips, recipes, and hands-on experiences to ✨ spark ✨ curiosity and connection.
Rooted in Chicago’s rich diversity and the many cultures that shape it, we invite children to see learning as an adventure — one that begins with wonder, grows through exploration, and thrives in everyday moments of discovery.

Get Curious With CKC!
Curious Kids Chicago brings families and educators three ways to spark curiosity and community connection: monthly learning Units that deepen understanding of big ideas, Neighborhood Explorer guides that turn the city into a living classroom, and a citywide Events Calendar that highlights joyful, family-centered opportunities across Chicago. Whether you're learning at home or out exploring the city, CKC helps you grow curiosity together.
Curiosity Units of Study
Monthly, theme-based learning designed for families and educators who want meaningful, adaptable learning at home or on the go. Each unit highlights a big idea (e.g., Native American Heritage, Celebrations of Light), inquiry questions, and aligned experiential learning activities for all ages (with optional Chicago-specific callouts, of course!)
Neighborhood Explorers
Kid-friendly guides that invite families to explore Chicago one neighborhood at a time. Each guide shares history, culture, food, art, and community stories — helping families connect with the city while learning through movement, curiosity, and real-world discovery.
A curated, always-updating roundup of family-friendly happenings across Chicago. From park district classes to library workshops, festivals to museum exhibits, this calendar helps families find joyful, enriching adventures all year long.

Exploring identity, storytelling, and place.
This November, our journey centers on Native American Heritage Month: Exploring Identity, Storytelling, and Place — a hands-on study that honors the First Peoples of our land through art, science, and community. Together, we’ll listen to stories, create with purpose, and reflect on what it means to be good relatives to the places we call home.
🌿 Explore this month’s unit and join us in learning, listening, and celebrating curiosity in motion.
